What Is ATP?
ATP stands for Action Team for Partnerships. The ATP organizes and sustains a program of school, family, and community partnerships. With ATP, teachers, administrators, parents, and others work together to create a welcoming school environment for families and engage families in ways that support student achievement and success. Meetings are open and new members are always welcome.
What is the National Network?
Established at Johns Hopkins University in 1996, the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) invites schools, districts, states, and organizations to join together and use research-based approaches to organize and sustain excellent programs of family and community involvement that will increase student success in school. For more information, visit the Johns Hopkins/National Network web site.
ATP Lending Library
We encourage you to visit the ATP Lending Library, a section of books in the library specifically for parents covering a variety of parenting topics. A complete list of books is available on the school homepage. Books can be checked out any time using the anonymous "honor system." A sample of what is available will be on display at the HSA meetings for viewing. Parents are also asked to donate any books you have found particularly useful to the ATP Lending Library.

Announcements
ATP Meeting
Please check the newsletter for the date of our next meeting. Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Monday of each month. ATP meetings are open to everyone - please join us! For more information please contact any ATP member.
Online Parenting Resources
Facebook and the National PTA have joined forces to promote safe Internet use to children, parents, and teachers at www.connectsafely.org. The website provides information and support about such issues as cyber bullying, good online citizenship and Internet security. The website addresses the need to educate young people in the ways of responsible social media use and interaction as well as teaching children the skills they need to survive in this digital world. The ATP would like to encourage parents of all age levels to visit the site to gain insight into this very important topic.
